Housing
Sewer line replacement work in May went pretty well, and the work was completed, inspected, and filled in within about two and a half weeks which was pretty speedy completion of work. The house has been put back together again and we were also able to address a leak in the stack from our guest bathroom at the same time. It’s great to be able to make use of all the houses plumbing again.
As the weather warms up, we took down the storm windows but are in need of window screens for all the windows. A likely job in the near future will be building frames and screens for the windows that we want to leave open in the summer. I also noticed that a number of the windows need their glazing fixed, so that’s also now on the to do list.
Synth Building
In late May I finished the coding for my new Melodic Orchestration module to function as a clone of the Roland Aria J-6, and began work on a tuning program to make it easier to tune the synthesizer. Now that these are done, I’ll either try to clone the Moog Subharmonicon or the Stocastic Instruments Inspiration Generator next.
I’ve started the circuit board design for my YM3812 synthesizer, now that I’ve tested the Melodic Orchestration since the YM3812 synthesizer will share a lot of common design patterns with the Melodic Orchestration.
