This is a list of all the projects (hacks) I am working on along with descriptions and where you can find more information.

Weather Clock

Status: Complete

I took an old clock, removed the mechanism and replaced it with an Arduino, ethernet shield, servos, and a custom clock face. The clock connects to the Environment Canada website to obtain the weather then moves the hands accordingly. A built in webserver also displays the weather information to the local network and allows the settings of the clock to be changed.

Joystock Controlled Alarm Clock

Status: Complete

After having an old Atari joystick and clock laying around for some time, I decided to hook them together so the joystick would duplicate the functionality of the clocks buttons. The joystick could set the time on the clock and the alarm time while the trigger button on the joystick worked as a snooze button. The original buttons on the clock still worked and could be used.

GPS Hat

Status: Conceptual

I once came across a site talking about a haptic compass belt which had motors which vibrated when the wearer was facing north. Considering how bulky and ugly such units are, I'd like to try to fit all the motors and related electronics into a hat.
