The Saint Boniface Parkway

The Saint Boniface Parkway runs from the south east corner of Lyndale Drive up the east side of the Red River to the north east corner of Whittier Park. The trail is a good alternative to Tache or Des Meurons for people who want to avoid traffic.

The trail is a mix of gravel path, asphalt path and roadway along its length. The views from the trail are quite scenic and changing since the trail starts in a residential area, passes along down town and ends in a lush park. Some caution may be warranted since the stretch between Lyndale Drive and Whittier Park may attract some unsavoury characters at night.

  • The trail is below the primary dyke in some places and may be subject to flooding.
