The Churchill Parkway

The Churchill Parkway in Winnipeg runs from the Forks down the west side of the Red River to Jubilee Avenue. If you ever wanted to go to the Bridge Drive In from downtown, this is the route to take.

The trail is composed of a gravel pathway with the exception of a couple places where it takes Churchill Drive. The section between the Forks and Don Gerrie Park is quite beautiful but may attract some unsavoury characters at night. The section through Churchill Drive Park is less visually stimulating, but still a good quality trail.

  • The trail is below the primary dyke in many places and may be subject to flooding.
  • Muddy conditions will often necessitate some detours near St. Mary's Cemetery.
  • The trail through Don Gerrie Park may be impassible in the future due to apparent lack of maintenance.
