As a potential copyright storm brews in Ottawa, its a good idea to learn how to best win the hearts and minds of our politicians. Here is Omar Ahmad's TED talk where he explains how best to capture the attention of a politician.

Quote from Arrested Development.

In 1901 two hydroelectric power plants were built in Málaga, Spain on Chorro Falls and Gaitanejo Falls. These two waterfalls are located deep in a gorge and workers needed a way to go between the two power plants and to assess the river conditions. In order to allow people to move between the power stations a path was built between them along the side of the gorge.

The path is a series of concrete platforms anchored directly onto the walls of the canyon. The platforms are one meter wide and are one hundred meters above the river. Originally the path was well maintained and had handrails, but over decades of neglect many portions of the concrete platforms crumbled into the river below, and most handrails are missing. The name for the trail "El Camino el Rey" which translates to "The King's Little Pathway" and dates back to a 1921 visit from the king.

The scenery is beautiful and as dangerous as it is, it also looks like a lot of fun. Apparently the local government has budgeted seven million Euros to restore the trail which would make it a lot more accessible and less dangerous. I would love to hike this trail given a chance.

I would now like to share with you the wonders of QI. QI (Quite Interesting) is a television show on the BBC where the premise is they get a panel of comedians on a trivia show and ask them obscure questions. Obvious answers and jokes lose points, and correct or interesting answers win points.

The show is highly entertaining, and the humour is unparalleled, so I have decided to put some 'best of' videos here every now and then for your enjoyment.
