Christmas 2011 Roundup

Typically at the end of the year I have a couple posts about Christmas, and something about boxing day. Right now I'm not really in the blogging mood and the content itself is a bit thin so it all gets brought together in one happy post.

Christmas Portraits

The annual tradition of taking a formal portrait at the various Christmas gatherings I attend continues. This year, two pictures resulted from the effort.

I'm a little disappointed with the first picture since Emily and I are overexposed, but I'll be keeping that in mind for the future.

Boxing Day Boxing

For the fifth year running, I celebrated the day after Christmas by throwing punches at my friends. For the uninitiated, this tradition is based around a bizarre game of Settlers of Catan where fighting has been added to supplement the normal game-play.

This year I realized that it also marks another momentous occasion - I have now not set foot in Whyte Ridge Baptist Church in the past three years without punching someone. After realizing this, the chances of my showing up for a Sunday service fell dramatically. This is one record I'd like to keep.

As usual Girish has kindly created a video of the proceedings.

Don't ask me how it devolved into a cheesy music video.
